As it’s approaching wedding season, I thought I would give some words of wisdom to all you brides to be.
It’s a daunting task to organise the massive event, even if you’re planning the small intimate wedding there’s still a lot of pressure to get each aspect absolutely perfect and make it happen as you’ve envisaged it for all those years (I wasn’t much of a wedding dreamer but I know there’s a few of us out there that have planned this day for years!)
Pre wedding night…
Don’t drink too much wine the night before and begin strutting around in your wedding wardrobe it may seem like a good idea at the time to jump around the room really drunk it your pretty dresses, but when you wake up in the morning with everything on the floor, the panic sets in.
Always choose bridesmaids that are happy, beautiful and smile lots. But most importantly – will still be your friend once you have turned into Bridezilla and had a emotional melt down because your something blue isn’t quite the shade of blue you expected.
Remember what finger you’re meant to put the ring on.
I vaguely remember someone heckling me from the crowd in the church ‘You got the wrong finger’ cheeky guests!!
Most importantly, laugh, smile, then laugh lots more – the list of things I forgot on
my our wedding day was huge, jewellery, gifts, nail varnish, shaven legs!!
And if you’re unfortunate to get this crappy British weather, just embrace it.
